When Should I Feed My Fish?

You should only feed fish in your garden pond when the water temperature is 6 degrees centigrade or above.

It is important that you choose the correct type of food by following these simple guidelines:

Wheatgerm

From 6 to 10 degrees centigrade you should feed Wheatgerm food, as this is easier for your fish to digest when the weather is cooler.

Staple or Pond Stick
When water temperatures in your pond are above 10 degrees centigrade you can switch to feeding your fish staple or pond stick types of food.
Growth Foods
Growth food should be fed to your fish in the summer and if you are trying to increase their size quickly.
