Ten tests each for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. If your fish are ill or you plan to add new ones, this will tell you if you have any problems with water quality.
What you are testing for:
Ammonia - comes from fish waste and rotting plants and vegetation; high levels could kill your fish
Nitrite - the chemical formed when ammonia breaks down. It is less toxic than ammonia but can still cause health problems in your fish.
Nitrate - the end product of waste breakdown. If it accumulates in your pond it can cause stress and algae problems.
pH - testing for the acidity or alkalinity of the water in your pond. For your fish to remain healthy they require a stable pH - incorrect pH can stress and potentially kill your fish.
