This habitat and feeder is designed to provide butterflies and moths opportunities for feeding and resting. Other wildlife may also use the house for hibernating, and it may help Bumble Bees survive in early spring.
The product features a removable feed tray and cups which are coloured in a special ultraviolet paint that is visible and attractive to butterflies*. The feed cups can be filled with a sugar/water solution, butterfly food, or fruit.
As well as being a lovely addition to a garden, it can be used as an educational tool. Site the box in a warm sheltered place out of winds, ideally to catch the morning sun.
